Role Roadmap

What you need to succeed
Related degree or 6+ years of equivalent experience in product design with a proven track record of success.
Experience with Adobe tools like Illustrator, and Photoshop and other design tools such as Keynote, Sketch, or Figma.
A history of close collaboration with design, product management, software development, and users from ideation through implementation.
Experience solving complex design and technology problems using systems thinking.
Ability to proficiently facilitate brainstorming sessions, cultivate the creative thinking process, build compelling presentation decks or videos, and present concept pitches.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. The CS department has seen explosive growth in the last decade. From fall 2013 to fall 2023, undergraduate enrollment grew from just under 500 to over 2,100, and graduate enrollment increased more than 70% from 252 to 432. By January 2025, the CS department will have over 80 faculty members, compared with 29 in 2014. To accommodate the growth, a new state-of-the-art five-story computer science building is currently under construction, scheduled for occupancy in early 2025.
In recent years, the CS department has created two new undergraduate majors, one in Data Science and one in CS + Design, and has partnered with UIC’s Liberal Arts and Sciences College on a CS + Linguistics major. The CS department is starting its fifth year running Break Through Tech Chicago, funded by one of the largest grants in the history of the UIC College of Engineering, received from Pivotal Ventures, Melinda French Gates’s social good organization, and directed towards undergraduate gender diversity efforts in computer science at UIC. Since the grant started, the CS department has seen significant growth in the percentage of women in the department’s majors, increasing from 19 to 26 percent from fall 2019 to fall 2023, representing an absolute increase of about 310 additional women among the department’s majors.

As our Application Security Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the security of our apps/services – Web, Mobile and API-based at Scale. You will be responsible for threat modeling products from the ground up, implementing and managing security controls at various points of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle, and setting up processes and guidelines. Summary

This role is accountable for program specific statistical programming activities and oversight related activities by vendors in clinical development, maintaining programming infrastructure and ensuring compliance with SOPs to produce quality and timely deliverables. This position serves as the team point person for statistical programming. You will assist the Head of Statistical Programming to contribute to departmental strategies and help drive the development and continuous improvement of departmental procedures, training, and standards.
Your Role:
You will lead and manage the statistical programming activities for clinical trials and studies, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables for CSR, publications, presentations, various reports for health authority submissions, clinical data review, and ad hoc analysis either internally or through CRO partners.
Develop, validate, and maintain analysis datasets (SDTM, ADaM), tables, listings, and figures (TLFs) in accordance with regulatory guidelines and internal standards.
Review key clinical study or program documents.
Perform complex statistical analyses and simulations using SAS to support clinical trial design and data interpretation; manage macro library and templates for efficiently preparing, processing, analyzing clinical data and validating analysis results.
Provide expertise in statistical programming for regulatory submissions (e.g., FDA, EMA), including electronic submission standards (eCTD).
Participate in Tango’s Data Governance Team to build and maintain secure statistical computing and programming infrastructure.
Collaborate with biostatisticians, data managers, and cross-functional team members to define programming strategies and requirements, establish project timelines, and perform statistical analyses.
Manage and provide oversight of CROs to ensure high-quality statistical analysis deliverables (datasets, TLFs, etc.) within timeline and budget.
Author or review SDTM and ADaM specifications to ensure compliance with CDISC standards.

Oracle E-Business Suite Developer (Accounting Department)
General Responsibilities:
Interact with stakeholders to gather business requirements, propose, design, develop detailed functional and technical specifications
Modify, debug, and deploy complex Oracle EBS configurations, enhancements, and customizations to meet the business requirements, while ensuring compliance with established coding standards and development principles
Write and debug database packages, procedures, functions, triggers and denormalized tables using SQL and PL/SQL, as per business requirements
Perform basic Linux system administration tasks such as job monitoring and security controls
Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline database and system administration tasks and interfaces
Performance tuning, code review, testing, and training
Maintain responsibility for the integrity and security of the applications, ensuring that systems are in adherence with the latest security settings
Apply security updates, patching and implement best practices
Troubleshoot and correct platform problems in a timely manner to provide 24/7 availability of services
I ssue resolution and modification of Oracle workflows and approvals
Design, develop, and maintain secure ERP integrations with internal and external systems
Design and implement business continuity and disaster recovery protocols
Required Experience/Skills:
Bachelors Degree or Professional Certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of experience in development with Oracle E-Business Suite, highly preferred
Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, Linux, XML, HTML, and JAVA
Integration Expert: File based, Oracle SOA Suite including BPEL, SOAP, REST, and ODBC
Understanding of R12.2 tech stack including editioning, online patching and custom schemas
Experience in CEMLI components; Configurations, Customizations, Extensions, Modifications, Integrations, APIs, Oracle Form CUSTOM.PLLs, Oracle Reports and XML Published templates
Knowledge of System Architecture, Networking, VPN, Firewall, Load Balancing, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Middleware, Web Servers
Sound organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possess good leadership skills and ability to work independently
Ensure compliance with coding standards and development principles SDLC or AIM
