    Distribution and Logistical Services is a diverse group of auxiliary enterprises that provide essential services to students, faculty, and staff, in support of the university’s academic mission on the Bloomington campus. We use innovative and sustainable business practices to provide excellent customer service, convenience, and value to the entire university community. Distribution and Logistical Services encompasses Document Services, Campus Mail, Warehouse and Surplus Stores.

    Job Summary

    This position works under supervision of a System Technician.

    General Responsibilities

    • Provides technical assistance and guidance, to campus faculty, staff, and/or students for various systems.
    • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains university hardware and software systems as needed.
    • Supports, and troubleshoots various local and network printers, scanners, phones, and other associated computing peripherals.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION

    Required

    • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    Required

    • 1 year of systems support or related experience

    Working Conditions / Demands

    This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and to operate computers and other related technical equipment. The role is required to maintain and interact with computers and frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

    Bloomington, Indiana

    Work Hours

    16 hours per week minimum. Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
